Big Beginnings for Little Dancers
It may surprise you to learn that 18 months is not too early to start dancing — in fact, it's the perfect time. Little ones are already natural movers, and structured creative movement gives that energy a joyful, purposeful outlet. At PSPA, our youngest dancers are welcomed into a warm, nurturing environment where the goal isn't perfection, it's exploration.
Our Creative First Steps classes use music, movement, and imaginative play to support growth that goes far beyond the dance floor:
Gross Motor Development
Jumping, skipping, and balancing all help toddlers build the coordination and body awareness that supports them in everything they do.
Social Skills
For many little ones, this is their first group experiences outside the home. Sharing a space, taking turns, and moving together are big milestones that happen naturally here.
Confidence & Self-Expression
There are no wrong moves in Creative First Steps. Toddlers discover their own bodies and learn to express themselves freely, building confidence that parents notice well beyond the studio.
A Love of Dance
Most importantly, these early classes plant a seed. Students who begin in Creative First Steps carry a foundation - and a love of dance - that shapes their entire future at PSPA.

Creative Movement Classes
Our Creative Movement classes introduce toddlers to the joy of dance through imagination, music, movement, and play! Designed to engage all of your child’s senses, these classes encourage creativity while building coordination, listening skills, confidence, and classroom independence. Young dancers enjoy activities such as ribbon dancing, movement games, counting exercises, pattern work, and interactive call-and-response activities in a nurturing and upbeat environment.
