Each level of Modern dance allows students the opportunity to explore movements within different levels, planes, and movement quality. Modern dance class includes a warm up consisting of center work followed by combinations both in the center and across the floor. Additionally, Modern dance class includes the exploration of movement concepts like fall & release, space & time, unison, sequence opposition, and dance energies. This allows the dancer to articulate and communicate an idea, story, or to express. Students will use alignment, core strength & balance to build strength, flexibility, as well as grow musically and artistically.
