304T Senior Company Level 4 Tap | Pembroke School of Performing Arts

Intermediate/Advanced Tap
Ages 14-16 years, Senior Company Level 4

Tap is an exciting mix of rhythmic patterns, sounds, and movement allowing the dancer to become a percussive participant. Students begin with the “basic” sounds (toe, heels, flap, shuffle) and progress to more complex and/or syncopated rhythmic patterns (time steps, riffs, wings, etc) .

At PSPA we introduce and expand upon “multiple” tap styles within Jr and Sr Company classes.

This class is part of Jr and Sr company programs which are offered at reduced rate. Jr company programs include Ballet, Tap, Jazz; Sr company programs include Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Modern.

Additional styles are offered as options to the core curriculum at reduced rates.

SR company students will perform in all performances of our June show (typically 4), as well as have the opportunity to perform at community events throughout the year.

This class requires “placement” – based on combination of age and ability
As with all of our classes, choreography, musical selections, and costuming are age appropriate
