Note: This class requires placement based on combination of age and ability. Please review with staff for proper placement prior to enrolling

Modern dance classes include the exploration of movement concepts like fall & release, space & time, unison, sequence opposition, and dance energies. This allows the dancer to articulate and communicate an idea, story, or to express. Students will use alignment, core strength & balance to build strength, flexibility, as well as grow musically and artistically.

Part of Sr Company Level 2 program (Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern), meeting Mondays & Wednesdays for a total of 2 1/2 hrs per week.

Senior company students will perform in all performances of our June show (typically 4), as well as have the opportunity to perform at community events throughout the year.

As with all of our classes at PSPA, choreography, musical selections, and costuming are age appropriate.
