theMulti-LevelAward WinningDance Teams

At Pembroke School of Performing Arts, we strive for a family-oriented, fun, and friendly environment. We emphasize qualified and proper instruction. While we are not “focused” in a competitive nature, we do feel there are additional benefits to be gained by attending and performing outside of our community and studio events. As such, and for those with the desire, we have initiated competition dance teams.

We are very proud that our teams have consistently achieved among the highest scores in performance, technique, choreography, precision, costuming, and audience appeal. As well as individual recognition each year in both regional and national competitions since 1989.

We feel providing this opportunity in a friendly and positive environment allows the aspiring performer and choreographer to travel and meet peers with the same interests. They can further develop their creative skills, evaluate technical and performance skills, and to set goals on a larger level.

Performances Garner Additional Opportunities

These events have provided our dancers with the opportunity to participate in the Elite Dance Team, Elite Dance Titles. Miss IDC Programs, Dance America VIP Programs, opportunities for TV commercials and other outside “national” and international opportunities and performances. Such as the All American Capital One Half Time Show with Hunter Hayes, Invitations to the Orange Bowl Halftime Show.

Alumni have gone on to perform with Disney and Royal Caribbean. Also various teaching positions including college level, and professional opportunities including international dance companies.

Our PSPA Dance and Performance Teams are committed to three regional competitions and one National competition in July. There are additional options for solo team members seeking more challenges.
